1642 - George 2nd Marquis sent 40 men to Irvines Regt in France
1642 - William of Tillibody raised men for Douglas's Regt France
1643 - John of Craig raised 80 men for service in France
1650 - John Earl of Sutherland rasied 1000 men to assist Leslie
1653 - Robert 4th Vicount Kenmure raised men for Glencairns rising
1715 - Alexander 2nd Duke raised men for 1st Jacobite rising
1745 - Lord Lewis, Johnof Glenbucket and John of Avochie raised men for 2nd Jacobite rising
1747 - Robert of Gordonstoun rasied independant company for HEIC
1759 - Alexander 4th Duke rasied men 89th Regt
1775 Alexander raised men for Fraser Highlanders
1778 - Hon William Gordon 2nd Earl Aberdeen rasied 81st Regt
1778 - Alexander Raised Northern Fencibles
1790 - George 5th Duke raised company Black watch
1793 - Alexander rasied second Northern Fencibles
1794 - Alexander raised 100th Regt changed to 92nd
1826 - Sir John Bury of Park rased Regt of Cavalry for Hydrabad now 30th Lancers Gordon Horse Indian Army
1846 - Maj Patrick Gordon of Cairnfield rasied 15th Ludhiana Sikhs
1857 - Lt. John Gordon of England raised Volunteers for service at Indian Mutiny
1857 - Col. W Gordon-Cumming of Gordonstoun rasied the Bheel Police
1867 - Rev. Charles Menzies Minmore Family raised 60 men for Papal Zouaves.
