IMPORTANT NEWS FOR NEXT YEAR
Next year 2011 is already being planned and we are hoping to see you all at Bundanoon on the 2nd April.
We will have a new and larger display for you to see. We will have new CDs and other Merchandise but More exciting we want to get you all together for once so we are inviting you all to come and march with us then after the march we will have a BBQ and we can all have a chat and exchange information.
You don't have to wear a kilt or come dressed up although that would be nice but we do request that you wear something with Gordon Tartan on it or something that identifies you as a Gordon Clansmen , a gordon shirt, tie, scarf or hat etc whatever you like.
What we have planned is a simple get-together. We hope you will march with us or at least come and join us for lunch. Neville and others will be manning a BBQ and we hope that you can sit and meet our other members and clansmen and exchange ideas, information or get to know each other. Don't worry if your not already a member, all Clansmen are welcome and we'd still like you to come.
In the following months Andrew our Webmaster will have a register in operation on this site and you can register that you will be attending so we can do our catering etc. We have a few things in mind and will release the details as we get a little closer. We want to make a great day of it and start with a display of strength and create a splash of colour, we will be looking for Flag and banner bearers too if you are interested to help out; we will be in period Costume for the march but you don't have to be unless you
wish to. We will be taking lots of photos for the web site as our overseas brothers and sisters are always interested in what were doing too. You never know you mat find some distant relatives too or get help with you family tree etc.
It will also be nice to see you all in person and put faces to names. We thought we would get in early as we wanted to give lots of notice so you can do your planning too, And we can get as many of you together as possible. You may need to plan your visit or accommodation as Bundanoon is very busy at that time and finding somewhere to stay can be difficult as you may need to consider Moss Vale or Goulburn. We stay at the Moss Vale Caravan park and usually have a get together in the evening there
as some of the bands stay there and put on a small impromptu display
Keep an eye on the web site and tell all your family, hope to see you all there in 2011.

A piece of Gordon News that we thought we would share with you all.

Still Clocking on at 101
CHICAGO: A 101-year-old woman has been chosen as America's Outstanding Oldest Worker for 2010.
Sally Gordon has been an assistant sergeant-at-arms for the Nebraska Legislature for 26 years,
helping with it's day-to-day operations when it is in session.
Before that, she worked as a secretary for three Nebraska governors and as a model. Mrs Gordon accepted
the award from Experience Works, the US's largest non-profit training centre for the older workers, at the
Nebraska Capitol, which hadn't even been built when she was born in 1909.
She has no plans to retire and advises young people to "try and learn new techniques and be kind to co-workers".
